Shanoor Seervai was a news intern at STAT. She is pursuing a master's degree in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she studies health policy, inequality, and migration. She is also the editor-in-chief of the Harvard Kennedy School Review. Previously, she reported for the Wall Street Journal's South Asia bureau, where she wrote about a health crisis in rural India, gender-based violence, and India's 2014 federal election, among other stories.
