Simar Bajaj is news intern at STAT supported by the Harvard Institute of Politics and Global Health Institute. A rising senior studying chemistry and history of science, he has previously written about medical stigma, health inequities, and structural racism for the Guardian, Washington Post, NPR, and Scientific American. He hopes to one day work on these intersections as a physician-writer, using storytelling to heal. In his free time, he enjoys podcasting, eating noodles, biking on pothole-ridden roads, and playing tennis.
