Erica Goode is the special projects editor at STAT. She comes to the organization with wide-ranging experience as a reporter and editor. Most recently, she was managing editor at Inside Climate News. She spent 18 years at the New York Times, where she led a team of reporters covering climate change; reported on human behavior, criminal justice, and the war in Iraq; and edited the health pages of the weekly science section. Before that, she was an assistant managing editor at U.S. News & World Report and a science reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle. She lives in New York with Chloe, AKA The Russian, an 11-pound bolonka.
